Description

ProClear NSF certified Algaecide

Free shipping when you order two or more, or when your order is over $150.

ProClear is premium Canadian-made Algaecide that is ideal for ponds, dugouts/lagoons, and potable water tanks. Easy to use and effective, ProClear Algaecide makes treating and preventing algae simple and economical.
Experts recommend treating for algae preventatively to save labour and money. Treating algae blooms are 2-3 times more expensive than treating preventatively! Additionally, treating reactively requires stronger concentrations of chemicals, which can be harsh on the water.

IS SAFE FOR FISH IF YOU DO NOT EXCEED 3L/1 MILLION GALLONS IN SMALL PONDS, THE RECOMMENDED APPLICATION RATE THAT IS SAFE FOR FISH IS 1ml/1000L - 1 ml is approximately 1 drop. Small Pond treatment without fish= 25 ml per 1000L PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL CALCULATING POND VOLUME  - IF IN DOUBT, TREAT CONSERVATIVELY

FOR FISH PONDS SMALLER THAN 50,000 GALLONS, WE RECOMMEND USING GREEN POND CLARIFIER

Instructions

ProClear should be applied via sprayer to your pond. If treating filamentous algae, the shoreline should be sprayed to 30-50' out. When treating algae it should be sprayed across the entire surface area of the pond. Product should be diluted in sprayer to prevent sprayer clogging up - a simple rule is 3 parts water to 1 part ProClear however this can be adapted for your individual sprayer. Please read available instruction booklet before use

NOTE: If treating in LARGE ponds with fish do not exceed 3L ProClear per 1000000 gallons of Water

Please read the following blog post prior to treating your pond if fish are present:

    Swimmer's itch

Posted by Lydia WRIGHT on 24th Jul 2024

Although my dugout didn't have algae at the time I was looking for products I wanted to be proactive. unlucky for us after the first swim in the dugout we got swimmer's itch, my order had not come in yet but after talking to the amazing customer service they helped me with product selection and amounts. I did have to estimate the size of my dugout as I didn't have a way to measure it as I can only access it from one end and didn't have the means to string some sort of rope across nor down to measure the size and depth. Well I just ordered my third treatment dose as I still have the itch but I had just spent 1.5 hours mucking around in the weeds and only have a few spots, where as before we were covered in the itch, I really do mean COVERED, it is working great! I am confident that after this third treatment I will have the itch beat! I would love to order the weed razor but unfortunately my budget for this pond was exceeded due to the heavier applications of the pro clear due to the swimmer's itch. I do also want to say we do not have fish in this dugout.

    Algae out of control

Posted by Robert Watson on 13th Jun 2024

Our pond was over run with Algae like we've never seen before. We purchased Pond Pro Proclear based on reviews and talking with staff members of Pond Pro. We couldn't be happier with the results. The pond is now completely clear after just a week! I really wish I took before and after photos. Thank you Pond Pro!

Most of the filamentous weeds have disappeared leaving a pretty clean surface. Still dealing with some algae and will reapply.

    Reviewing your algaecide

Posted by Eva Corrigan on 25th Jul 2023

We have a quarter acre 12 foot deep pond with sunfish and other pond life. We are rural, so we get fertilizer run off from neighbouring farmer's fields. This run off and the waste from fish and wildlife causes pond scum and algae. We use this product with a sprayer to clear the pond. We notice an improvement within 24 hours. We also add your lake bacteria to our pond for clarity and maintenance.
