Kasco Marine's 2400D 1/2 HP 120V De-Icer for Docks, Boats & Ice Prevention
The Kasco Marine 2400D De-Icer is a compact 1/2 HP, 120V ice prevention system designed to keep water open around docks, boats, piers, and other in-water structures during freezing conditions. By moving warmer water from below the surface upward, the 2400D helps reduce ice formation and protect property from damage caused by ice expansion, lifting, and jacking.
Delivering 31 lb of thrust, the 2400D provides strong water circulation for dependable winter de-icing while using a smaller 1/2 HP motor. Its stainless steel construction, sacrificial zinc anode protection, long-life bearings, and oil-filled motor are designed for reliable operation in freshwater, saltwater, and other corrosive environments.
Flexible mounting options: Suspend the 2400D using the included 20 ft mooring lines, or pair it with an optional Kasco dock mount or horizontal float for greater control over positioning and water flow.

How It Works & Installation
How the Kasco 2400D De-Icer Works
The 2400D circulates warmer water from below the surface upward into colder surface water. This continuous movement helps reduce ice formation and maintain an open-water area around docks, boats, piers, and other waterfront structures.
De-icer coverage varies with water depth, air temperature, mounting angle, water movement, and site conditions. The Kasco De-Icer Sizing Chart should be used as a general guide when selecting and positioning a de-icer.
Suspended Installation
Two 20 ft suspension ropes are included with the de-icer, allowing you to suspend the unit directly in the water.
Adjustable Dock Mounting
Optional Universal and Industrial Dock Mounts let you adjust the de-icer angle and operating depth for different applications.
Horizontal Float Option
An optional Horizontal Float provides another installation method when you prefer to position the de-icer away from a dock or structure.
