Description

ProClear Algaecide 4L - NSF Certified for Safe Drinking Water

Discover the power of ProClear Algaecide, a premium Canadian-made solution designed specifically for ponds, dugouts, lagoons, and potable water tanks. NSF-certified for drinking water safety, ProClear ensures that your water remains clear and free from harmful algae. Its easy-to-use formula makes algae treatment and prevention both simple and cost-effective, making it the go-to choice for maintaining pristine water quality. Enjoy an added bonus! Receive a 10% discount on bulk orders of four or more 4L ProClear Algaecide.

Experts recommend using ProClear Algaecide preventatively to save on labor and costs. By treating algae before it blooms, you can avoid the significantly higher expenses associated with reactive treatments, which can be 2-3 times more costly. Furthermore, reactive treatments require stronger chemical concentrations, which can be harsh on the water and potentially harmful to its ecosystem. Lastly, toxic algae strains are much more risky to treat after they have taken over a pond as more toxins can be released in the removal process. ProClear offers a gentle yet effective solution to keep your water safe and clear.

Please note: This product is not currently being shipped due to freezing temperatures. You can place an order now, and we will ship it once the weather is warmer.

For fish ponds smaller than 50,000 Gallons we recommend using Green Pond Clarifier.

Application Instructions

ProClear should be applied through the use of a sprayer. If you are targeting filamentous algae, make sure to spray the shoreline and extend the treatment 30-50 feet out into the water. To ensure the sprayer functions properly and does not become clogged, dilute ProClear in the sprayer. A good rule of thumb is to mix three parts water with one part ProClear, though you may need to adjust this ratio based on the specifications of your sprayer. For detailed instructions, please refer to the instruction booklet provided with the product before use.

Maximize Your Pond Health: Discover the Ideal Product Quantity for your water with Our Advanced Pond Care Calculator

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE VERY CAREFUL CALCULATING POND VOLUME  - IF IN DOUBT, TREAT CONSERVATIVELY

Important: If you are treating a fish pond, it is crucial not to exceed a dosage of 1 litre of ProClear per 1,000,000 litres of water. Overdosing can be harmful to aquatic life.

In small ponds, the recommended application rate safe for fish is 1 ml / 1000 L - 1 ml is approximately 1 drop.

Small Pond treatment without fish = 25 ml per 1000L

Additionally, before beginning treatment, especially if fish are present in your pond, we highly recommend reading the following blog post: How To Treat Algae. This resource provides valuable information to ensure the safety and health of your pond's ecosystem.

For fish ponds smaller than 50,000 Gallons we recommend using Green Pond Clarifier.

    Algae be gone

Posted by Stefanie on 30th Aug 2024

We had an overwhelming amout if algae in our dugout this year. we use our dugout for water our garden and for our drip system. The algae was plugging up our watering systems to the point where we were cleaning out filters after every water. So when I found this product I figured why not! I'll try anything at this point. I was a bit skeptical for one that it would work and for two that is would work as quickly as they were advertising. It has been close to 3 weeks since our first application and we have noticed a significant difference already. When we look into the dugout now, we can see through the water whereas before it was cloudy and murky. We are still cleaning out our filters but maybe once a week now opposed to after every water which is generally a couple of times a day. Overall I would say this product definitely works and I would definitely purchase again.

    Great product

My water feature was full of string algae. I purchased this product, applied it and all of it is gone. It is perfect. Highly recommend to anyone with the same problem. In previous years I have been fighting with it, this year I am just enjoying it.

    Swimmer's itch

Posted by Lydia WRIGHT on 24th Jul 2024

Although my dugout didn't have algae at the time I was looking for products I wanted to be proactive. unlucky for us after the first swim in the dugout we got swimmer's itch, my order had not come in yet but after talking to the amazing customer service they helped me with product selection and amounts. I did have to estimate the size of my dugout as I didn't have a way to measure it as I can only access it from one end and didn't have the means to string some sort of rope across nor down to measure the size and depth. Well I just ordered my third treatment dose as I still have the itch but I had just spent 1.5 hours mucking around in the weeds and only have a few spots, where as before we were covered in the itch, I really do mean COVERED, it is working great! I am confident that after this third treatment I will have the itch beat! I would love to order the weed razor but unfortunately my budget for this pond was exceeded due to the heavier applications of the pro clear due to the swimmer's itch. I do also want to say we do not have fish in this dugout.

    Algae out of control

Posted by Robert Watson on 13th Jun 2024

Our pond was over run with Algae like we've never seen before. We purchased Pond Pro Proclear based on reviews and talking with staff members of Pond Pro. We couldn't be happier with the results. The pond is now completely clear after just a week! I really wish I took before and after photos. Thank you Pond Pro!
