Can-Air Septic Aerator for Residential Sewage Systems

Posted by Jeff on 24th Nov 2024

Shipping was fast, fairly straight forward to install. I installed the equipment late in the fall and was concerned about the colder weather. So far the pump has had zero issues (-20C). Hopefully we see improvements with our septic field in the coming months. So far we have noticed a reduction in odours so I believe it's starting to improve.

    Septic Aerator

Posted by Fred Winterburn on 2nd Oct 2022

Have your septic tank pumped and only use this on a 2 chamber tank. Put it in the second chamber (the outlet). Do not put it in the first chamber or any solids will be transferred to the second chamber and end up clogging the weeping bed. Second chamber only! System seems to work quite well. H2S gas smell is gone and effluent more clear than when done completely anaerobically. Going aerobic should rejuvenate a plugging weeping bed due to biomat, and secondly, save the septic tank from H2S gas from the weeping bed from turning into sulphuric acid and corroding the tank lid and walls above the water line.

Great little unit. Doesn’t seem to impact hydro bill, runs all the time without issue and bubbles my pond nice. A second bubbler would have been ideal but perhaps there’s a way to add one on. Would have to check with pondpro. Highly recommend this unit.
