    Amazing!!

Posted by Keith Bryer on 11th Jul 2025

Wow!! I have a pond that totals approximately 5,000 gallons by way of a small upper pond connected to a larger lower pond by way of a stream and several waterfalls. The lower pond contains about a dozen goldfish who were introduced about three years ago. They’ve thrived despite our frigid northern Ontario winters thanx to Pro Ponds bubbler and a small heater (one without the other don’t cut the mustard when it’s frequently -20C or colder during the winter). I recently purchased the maintenance kit and followed the well-detailed instructions. Within hours of following step one/day one, the amazing transformation began. Sediment within the water began to coagulate and rise to the surface where, with the assistance of my not-so-standard filtration system, the debris was quickly captured. As if the first step wasn’t just what the doctor ordered, the next steps over the next two days even further enhanced my pond’s clarity and at no time did the fish show any ill effects. As if the water clarity from ground level wasn’t pleasing enough, I can stand on our upper deck and clearly see the bottom of our pond, a total distance of about six meters. Amazing!! If you’re looking for an easy and fantastic method to easily enhance the clarity and health of your pond without harming your fish, then do yourself a huge favour and select a package that suits your pond size and make the purchase. You will wonder why you didn’t do it sooner!! ?

    Small Pond Maintenance Kit

Posted by Joe Palangio on 2nd Jul 2025

I wished I knew about this kit earlier. After struggling with constant slime algae, sediment and murky water in my pond for 5 years I was seriously considering filling the whole thing in and replanting grass. I'd tried a number of products including barley straw extract (as a clarifier) and a chemical algicide that's available only in the USA, with limited results. After a great phone conversation with a Pond Pro staff member I decided to buy the Small Pond Maintenance kit for my roughly 700 gallon pond and waterfall and try one more time. Well, the results were noticeable within days. Day One I added the Green Pond Clarifier and the next day I used some QuikClear Pond as per the instructions. By the fourth day the pond was much improved and I could see the bottom again. I did have to skim off some scum that rose to the top but the water was much clearer. I did not see the need for the Slime Away as my waterfalls and stream were now running clear and I will be holding off on that product until I see a need. (It's been 26-30°C and sunny here for a week but no new algae blooms!) I have also thrown a dozen or so of the Much Pellets in and it does seem to be helping dissolve some of the sediment that has collected on the bottom as well. All in all, I'm able to now sit back and enjoy my pond rather than feeling like a slave to it. This little box of goodies is all you need in a simple format. Thank you Pond Pro! P.S. I probably went a bit overboard on the QuikClear dosage (no fish in the pond so no harm done). I'll definitely be placing an order for some more soon. It works!!!
